Vicissitude
With shackles around hands and tears down the cheeks
She dragged herself to the shore of the sea.
The tides touch low at her feet washing away the feculence of the bygone time,
When the credulous she was so easily fleeced.
The sun rising far across the distance of the marine
As the waves sing the aubade of bravery and feat.
After the storm, the clouds of the night dissolve
The scars borne shine
A beautiful reminder of the courage she displayed to go through everything and survived.
