The Trust in Lies
Look closely and you might see,
For I talk too much but never speak.
And it wasn’t so ‘cause I never shared my heart,
Just the people who simply added more scars,
For I may be quiet but still scream.
It was just the way of the world some would say,
That trust never came without a price,
Something everyone risks in life,
For hearts may beat but still be frozen despite.
And it is not only me who sees,
The blacks and whites hid in a rainbow of deceit,
For truth may be preached but the world lives in its lies.
