The Silent Moonlight
Standing in the balcony, staring at the stars
Wondering how many secrets the night hides
How much love, how much wars
But still, in the sky, the moonlight silently resides
Thinking about the messages the night give
The cries and tears it absorbs
Teaching us a way to live
Through all those silent anger and sobs
The relief it gives to some, sadness to other
In deep sleep, as dream gives rides
The peace and purity it gives further
But still, the moonlight silently resides
Taking the broken in its lap
Giving the dreamer’s thrill and excitement
As around them beautiful dream, it wraps
Relief and solace as they lent
Helping people to escape the cruel reality of the day
As emotions rise like tides
Silent as a corpse as people lay
Keeping melancholy away, the moonlight silently resides
Being the company of awaken restless souls
As they keep staring, lost in the space
Some questioning their decisions and their goals
Trying to escape this never-ending race
Spreading light in some lives and in the sky as I see
Fighting to put the darkness aside
Enchanted by its beauty as a question struck me
How after all the darkness, the moonlight silently resides?….
