First Light
On an orb of night,
when I was in my world of flight.
Inactive, inert, out like a light.
Unaware that the electricity
had taken a long leave,
which left everyone boiling in the hot eve.
Hours without AC’s or fans,
no one was to believe.
Then god listened to our entreaty,
and switched on his jumbo AC.
The glimmering stars left me mesmerized,
when I feast my eyes up to see.
After dark, the world becomes like still water;
quiet, motionless,
yet so deep and enchanting.
It seemed as if the world was transplanting.
The night was passing to turn into dawn,
On the other hand,
the dazzling colours of nature had gone.
While our maker, also a brilliant painter,
took out his paintbrush,
to clear out all the fuss.
Thus brought everything back
to life and lush.
The sky was again blue.
How beautiful life can be!
I had no clue…
