Just Breathe
It is often said that the stars we see in the night sky are already dead.
And yet I feel, they are the only things keeping me alive.
I feel stupidity is really the essence of what we really want to be.
Each one of us is afraid of something or the other,
And Demons have a funny way of shaking you up at night.
They might be under your bed, in your closet or near your bedside,
But mine was standing right there in front me.
When your nerves are screaming,
‘I can’t take it anymore.’
They try to tell you,
Numb was never meant to be a state of being,
And abandonment was never for you to call home.
When your eyes give up on the light of the day,
And make night their home.
They’re trying to tell you,
They’re tired of seeing you hit the ground,
Smack on your face again and again.
Whenever you smile,
And feel a wound widening in your chest,
As every breath feels like the last one.
It’s your heart telling you,
‘Maybe it’s time to love yourself first’
There are certain feelings,
Which are too hard to explain.
There will always be a few poems,
Which would never be named?
It is okay. It will be okay.
Just breathe.
And everything.
Will. Fall.
Into.
Place.
