Beauty Standards: A Reality Check
“Real beauty lies in the eyes of beholder” all of us must have heard this but how many apply?
Right from the childhood we are made to fantasized about the fairness and were taught various ways to enhance how we look, but nobody taught us how to enhance the way we present ourselves.
Who are these people who made beauty standards?
Beauty standards like
Fair is beauty but black is not;
Having Curvy body or muscular body is beauty but being thin or fat is not;
Who made all these standards to get compared from and feel inferior about ourselves if we don’t match these standards?
Why is there so much emphasis to look better on outside no matter what a person is from inside?
Now, let us do the reality check and find out what the actual truth is!
The truth is the person constantly judging, comparing doesn’t know what the real beauty is.
Real beauty is confidence and the way a person carries themselves;
Real beauty is how a person give that Ted Talk to themselves when they hit the bottom;
Real beauty is appreciating and supporting others;
Real beauty lies in the way how a person thinks and now how the person looks.
We all are beautiful the way we are!
The race of making comparisons on the basis of appearances in reality and on social media posts are not helping us but is only making our generation more anxious and depressed.
Why do we need other people’s approval and acceptance to feel good about ourselves?
We all need to accept the way we are, because Flawsome is the new awesome!
So stop comparing yourself and finding different ways to look beautiful but start feeling beautiful the way you are.
